Glenn N. Carmitchel, 92, of Catasauqua, died Feb. 26, 2017, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. He was the husband of the late Lucille C. (Smith) Carmitchel.

Born in South Allentown, he was a son of the late John R. and Elizabeth (Bensinger) Carmitchel.

He was a Navy veteran and was in the Pacific Theater during World War II.

He was an air brake inspector for the New Jersey Railroad for 35 years.

He is survived by a daughter, Gwen and her husband Donald Zefting of Fairport, N.Y.; a sister, Jean Csanadi of Allentown; and two grandchildren, Lauren and Scott Zefting.

There will be a calling hour 10-11 a.m., followed by services 11 a.m., both March 2 at the funeral home, 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua.
