Marion S. (Snyder) Butz, 92, formerly of North Whitehall Township, died Feb. 6, 2017, in Las Vegas, Nev. She was the wife of the late Norwood C. Butz.

Born in Egypt, she was a daughter of the late Harvey E.D. and Elsie V. (Guth) Snyder.

She was a 1942 graduate of Whitehall High School.

She worked at The Phoebe Home, Allentown, and Kraft Foods, Fogelsville, before retiring.

She was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.

She was a volunteer with NOVA Auxiliary.

She is survived by three children, David L. and his wife Dorothy of Bangor, Faye and her husband Zoel Bastarache of Las Vegas, Nev. and Ellen Jane Butz of Lewes, Del.; five grandchildren, David, Jr., Phyllis, Miles, Sarah and Elizabeth; six great-grandchildren, Brandon, Michael, Christian, Emerson, Willow and Zackary; and three siblings, Hilda A. Gower of Whitehall, Annetta “Nettie” M. Geiger of Florida and Lee S. and his wife Ellie Snyder of Walnutport.

She was predeceased by two daughters, Ruth Ann and Phyllis K. Butz; and a brother, Ray G. Snyder.
