Gloria B. Walsh, 91, of Lower Macungie Township, died Jan. 24, 2017, at Cedarbrook, Allentown. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late William Brennan and Kathryn (Prydel) Brennan.
An enterprising woman with drive she raised the glass ceiling starting out in the New York Telephone Company; selling gourmet foods for Helgason Melstead New York, performing weekly live on a New York radio station; becoming an Upper Saucon Township supervisor; running for State Representative of the 131st District and traveling around the world as an agent for AAA of Allentown.
She is survived by daughters, Lydia and her husband Ronald Patterson, of Maryland; Alison and her husband Adam Braver, of Rhode Island; Noreen and her husband Ronald Schlegel, of Allentown; grandchildren, Christian, Amanda, Natalie and Addison; sister, Gladys and her husband Tom Moerhring, of New York
Contributions may be made in her name to the Wounded Warriors Project and/or to stem cell research.
