Duff A. Douglas, 56, of Emmaus, died Jan. 21, 2017, in St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown. Born in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., he was the son of the late Penelope (Robinson) Handwerk.

He was employed at Aetna in the I.T. department for over 30 years, retiring in 2016.

He was an avid animal lover.

He is survived by siblings, Todd, Lisa, Tom, Danielle and Jason; aunts, Carol and Karen; uncle, Alan; six nieces.

Contributions may be made to any animal rescue organization.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Jan. 27 at the Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Road, Breinigsville, 18031. Calling 10 to 11 a.m. Jan. 27 in the funeral home.
