Annamma Verghese, 87, of Emmaus, died peacefully Jan. 17, 2017, at Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth. She was the wife of the late M.T. Verghese. She was born and raised in Kerala, India.

She worked as a school teacher in Bombay until her retirement at age 59.

She was an active member of the Marthoma Church, Dadar, Bombay.

She is survived by children, Thomas and his wife Anna, Cherian and his wife Annie; grandchildren, Eliana and her husband Tyler Hempel, Andrea and Danielle.
