During a Jan. 3 ceremony at the state Capitol in Harrisburg, state Rep. Dan McNeill, D-133rd, was sworn in to begin his third term serving the residents of Lehigh County.

“As we start the 2017-18 legislative session, I am going to focus on continuing my fight against the opioid and heroin addiction problem that is unfortunately plaguing the Lehigh Valley and devastating too many families,” McNeill said. “This will be done with a dual approach through legislation in Harrisburg and educational efforts in the form of local town hall meetings.

“I also will work with fellow legislators to find a way to eliminate property taxes, so seniors and working families can stay in their homes. I will continue to fight discrimination against any person for any reason, bring good-paying jobs back to the commonwealth and protect the hardworking families of the Lehigh Valley and throughout Pennsylvania,” he said.
