During a Jan. 3 ceremony at the state Capitol in Harrisburg, state Rep. Dan McNeill, D-133rd, was sworn in to begin his third term serving the residents of Lehigh County.
“As we start the 2017-18 legislative session, I am going to focus on continuing my fight against the opioid and heroin addiction problem that is unfortunately plaguing the Lehigh Valley and devastating too many families,” McNeill said. “This will be done with a dual approach through legislation in Harrisburg and educational efforts in the form of local town hall meetings.
“I also will work with fellow legislators to find a way to eliminate property taxes, so seniors and working families can stay in their homes. I will continue to fight discrimination against any person for any reason, bring good-paying jobs back to the commonwealth and protect the hardworking families of the Lehigh Valley and throughout Pennsylvania,” he said.
McNeill’s county office is located at 1080 Schadt Ave., Whitehall. Hours are 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The phone number is 610-266-1273.
He also invites residents to visit his website, pahouse.com/McNeill, which has links to information on state services and includes a form that allows constituents to email him. He also maintains a legislative Facebook page at facebook.com/RepMcNeill and Twitter feed @RepMcNeill.
The 133rd Legislative District consists of parts of Lehigh County, including the boroughs of Coplay, Catasauqua and Fountain Hill; parts of Whitehall and Salisbury townships; Hanover Township; and part of the City of Bethlehem.
