A Lehigh Township man was killed early Sunday morning in a one-vehicle crash near his home on South Cottonwood Road.

Allen Warner, 63, of 1018 South Cottonwood Road, was pronounced dead at St. Luke’s University Hospital, according to Lehigh Township police.

Warner was driving a Ford pickup truck that crashed into a tree 12:18 a.m. near 977 S. Cottonwood Road.

Lehigh County Chief Deputy Coroner Andrew Kehm ruled Warner’s death an accident.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Icy road conditions were identified as a contributing factor.
