Emerson “Skip” L. Heffelfinger, 51, of Albrightsville and formerly of Danielsville, died Jan. 8, 2017, at Blue Mountain Health System, Palmerton campus. He was the husband of Maryanne E. (Christman) Heffelfinger for 31 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of Robert Heffelfinger Sr. of Palmerton and the late Norma L. (Bachman) Heffelfinger.

He was an Airman 1st Class in the U.S. Air Force, 1985-86.

He was a team leader for Mack Trucks Inc., Macungie, for the past five years. He was earlier a certified nurse assistant at Cedarbrook County Home, Allentown, for 15 years.

He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Danielsville.

He was a member of an American Legion bowling mixed league, Bath, United Auto Workers Union 677, Allentown, and American Legion Post 927, Gilbert.

He played billiards for the APA League for Blue Mountain.

In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by two sons, Erik L. and his wife Tara Christman of Northampton and Andrew J. Heffelfinger of Albrightsville; two daughters, Candice M. and her husband Daniel Sakasitz of Albrightsville and Kristen M. Heffelfinger of Walnutport; a brother, Dean and his wife Frances Heffelfinger of Northampton; a sister, Lori Heffelfinger of Bath; and four grandchildren, Jadon, Amaya, Maddison and Kinsley.

He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Jr.
