Julia H. Carl, 91, formerly of Emmaus, died Jan. 14, 2017, in Life Care Center, Winter Haven, Fla. She was the wife of the late William E. Carl. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Michael S. and Mary J. (Labanz) Janiga.

She worked in the cafeteria of St. Ann Catholic School and Cuisine Management, retiring in 1967.

She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Emmaus, where she sang on the choir.

She was a member of the Catholic War Vets, Ladies Auxiliary of the Emmaus VFW and member of Emmaus and Macungie Senior Citizens.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. and her husband David K. Marsh, of Lake Wales, Fla.; grandsons, Joshua and Shawn; three great-grandsons.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Jan. 20 in St. Ann Catholic Church, 415 S. Sixth St., Emmaus. Visitation 10:30 to 11 a.m. in the church. Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
