Joan A. Frankenfield, 84, of Emmaus, died Jan. 11, 2017, at Manor Care Health Services, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Horace R. Frankenfield who died Sept. 8, 2004. Born in Hellertown, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Bertha (Bauder) Schilling.

She was a former member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Pleasant Valley.

She is survived by children, Richard K. and his wife Janet, of Hellertown, Lynn M. and her husband Bret A. Hoover, of Emmaus; grandchildren, Jeffrey C., Matthew S. and his wife Lauren Hoover and Jessica and her husband Jordan Weiss; great-granddaughter, Darby Hoover. She was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey S. in 1974.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Peaceable Kingdom, 1049 MacArthur Road, Whitehall, 18052.
