A juvenile male from South Chestnut Street, Bath, was charged recently with arson after emergency personnel responded to a report of fires in the borough.
According to a news release from Colonial Regional Police Department, at 3:40 p.m. Nov. 16, 2016, the police department and Bath Fire Company responded to a report of a fire on the sidewalk in the area of South Chestnut and West Main streets.
Police said they learned of two small fires in the area along two separate walls of homes there. The fires had been put out by the time officers arrived, according to the report.
Officers were able to determine who set the fires after an investigation.
The juvenile has been charged with arson and related offenses through Northampton County Juvenile Court, police said.
