Sacred Heart Hospital has named Michele Brinker, RN, BSN, as the new Diabetes Program Coordinator for the Hospital and HealthCare System.

Adding a Diabetes Program Coordinator allows persons with diabetes increased access to diabetes education services.

Brinker received a BSN from Cedar Crest College and is pursuing an MSN and diabetes educator certification.

For the past nine years she has been a diabetes educator, designing and implementing a diabetes program for the underserved Hispanic population. Her 29 years of nursing experience includes critical care, OB-GYN, and family health.

She is also experienced in care coordination and received a critical Care RN certificate, a lactation consultant certificate and was a certified Lamaze coach.
