Mary “Mitzi” S. Jany, 86, of Northampton, died Dec. 13, 2016, at the home of her son Frank, with whom she resided. She was the wife of the late Frank “Pete” S. Jany.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Anton and Pauline (Unger) Kulovits.

She worked for Universal Pants Company, J.J. & F. Sportswear and Tama.

She was a member of the Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary; St. Peter and Paul R.C. Sick & Beneficial Society, both in Northampton; and Slovene National Benefit Society.

She is survived by three sons, Frank E. and his wife Michele of Northampton, John A. and his wife Suzanne of Coplay and Timothy E. and his wife Nichole of Slatington; seven grandchildren, Christopher, David, Jordan, Alexandria, Jonathan, Jocelyn and Timothy; and five great-grandchildren.
