Marie T. Szep, 82, of Whitehall, died Dec. 22, 2016, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Stephen R. Szep for 55 years. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late John R. and Pauline R. (Gaston) Sentiwany.

She was a graduate of St. Peter Elementary Catholic School and Coplay High School.

She was a sewing machine operator for several local garment factories. She was later a shoe department sales person at the former H. Leh and Company, Whitehall Mall.

She was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Coplay.

She is survived by three sons, Michael of Allentown, Thomas of Whitehall and Stephen of Galeton; a daughter, Anita and her husband Michael Everett of Whitehall; five grandchildren, Stephen Pascoe of Northampton, John Szep of Wilmington, N.C. and Elizabeth Szep of New York City and David and Andrew Everett, both of Whitehall; a sister, Margaret Bocich of Whitehall; and two brothers, Joseph and James Sentiwany, both of Northampton.

She was predeceased by a brother, John Sentiwany.
