Karen A. Keretz, 60, of Walnutport and formerly of Northampton and Bethlehem, died Dec. 12, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg campus.

Born in Fountain Hill, she was a daughter of the late Thomas O’Rourke and Shirley (Rader) Stout and was a stepdaughter of the late Walter Stout.

She attended Freedom High School.

She was a waitress at Miller’s Diner, Northampton, and Chris’ Family Restaurant, Allentown. She previously was a teacher’s aide at Wiley House, now KidsPeace, Fountain Hill.

She attended St. Peter’s United Methodist Church, Slatington.

She is survived by a daughter, Brandy L. Keretz-Wertman and her companion Eric Smith of Walnutport; three grandchildren, Roger and Makayla Keretz and Brittney Wertman; four brothers, Mike and his wife Kelly Drust of California, Thomas and his wife Missy O’Rourke of Bethlehem, Brian and his wife Rudy O’Rourke of Hellertown and Bruce and his wife Yvonne O’Rourke; a sister, Diane and her husband Jan Masonheimer of Whitehall; nieces; and nephews.

Arrangements were made by Bensing Funeral Home Inc., Moorestown.
