Thomas A. Engle, 65, died Dec. 3, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Susan J. (Texter) Engle for 31 years.

Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Ralph T. Sr. and Nellie V. (Knittle) Engle.

He was a 1969 graduate of Northampton High School.

He worked for Durkee Famous Foods Inc. for 25 years and then for PolyOne Corporation (previously M.A. Hanna Company) for the last 20 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Bruce A. and his wife Jocelyn of Coopersburg and Scott D. and his wife Amy of Catasauqua; two daughters, Kathryn J. (Moser) and her husband Robert Zuber of Allentown and Kelsey M. and her fiancee Adam Lyszczarz of Northampton; four grandchildren, April, Sienna, Bryn and Lucas; a brother, Ralph Jr. and his wife Diane of Andreas; and a sister, Joan (Engle) and her husband Robert Shook of Bath.

He was predeceased by a brother, Gerald.
