North Catasauqua: Luminaria Night at the Park Saturday
Luminaria Night at the Park will be presented by the North Catasauqua We Sing Community Chorus 6-8 p.m. Dec. 17 at the William J. Albert Memorial North Catasauqua Park, 701 Grove St. Rain date will be Dec. 20.
The public is invited to enjoy the beauty of the luminaria lights around North Catasauqua Park and Small Town USA as they light up the night. The chorus will offer limo bus rides around the park and the borough to view the luminaria displays and Christmas lights at homes in the borough. The bus will leave the park every 15 minutes. There will be hot chocolate and candy canes for everyone!
The event is sponsored by Daku’s Auto Body Shop. Rides around the park are provided by A&A Limousine.
Join in the holiday spirit by lighting luminaria 5 p.m. at your home that night as well. The chorus is assembling luminaria kits to sell as a fundraiser. A $10 kit includes 10 bags, 10 candles, sand and assembly directions.
Additional kits are available for sale for $5 after the purchase of three kits at full price. Kits are available at North Catasauqua Borough Hall during regular weekday business hours.
Residents may also purchase luminaria kits to be placed around North Catasauqua Park and the borough to help the park and Small Town USA shine on this special night.
