Edward “Frankie” Stanton, 70, of Hellertown and formerly of Bethlehem, died Nov. 16, 2016. Born in Maxton, N.C., he was a son of the late Carse W. and Rose Mae (Purcell) Stanton. He was the husband of Patricia (Bailey) Stanton.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from Allen University, South Carolina; and a master’s degree in counseling from Kutztown University.
He was a counselor for 34 years at Northampton Community College, Bethlehem, until he retired in 2009.
He was a member of Grace Deliverance Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Shawn and his wife Yvonne Williams of Harleysville and Richard Stanton of Minnesota; five brothers, Robert and his wife Brenda Stanton, Carse Stanton, Wilfredo Stanton, Michael Stanton and Anthony Stanton; three sisters, Rosie Stanton, Molly “Laverne” Stanton and Michelle Stanton; seven grandchildren, Kieara Williams, Shateza Williams, Shakira Williams, Jared Williams, Jacob T. Stanton, Zachary Stanton and Landon L. Stanton; and three great-grandchildren, Madasyn, Aavehya and Marlie Calhoun.
Arrangements were made by James Funeral Home Inc., Bethlehem.
