Esther H. Illigash, 92, formerly of Catasauqua and Stiles, died Nov. 18, 2016, at Whitehall Manor. She was the wife of the late John W. Illigash.

Born in Bath, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Julia (Feirtag) Haftl.

She was a seamstress for the former Cross Country Clothes, Northampton.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Catasauqua,

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra J. and her husband David Schiffer of Whitehall; a son, Jack and his wife Carole of North Whitehall Township; five grandchildren, Jamie, Jason, Chad, Jodi and James; seven great-grandchildren, Logan, Faith, Erik, Rylee, Aiden, Colin and Quinn; a brother, Adolph and his wife Dorothy; and two sisters, Helen Henning and Arlene Oplinger, all of Bath.

There will be a calling hour 9:30-10:30 a.m., following by a service 10:30 a.m., both Nov. 23 at the funeral home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Stiles.
