Diane M. Shoemaker, 68, of Whitehall Township and formerly of Northampton, died Nov. 12, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. She was the wife of Dennis P. Shoemaker for 48 years.

Born in Danielsville, she was a daughter of the late Wilson T. Sr. and Louisa (Mast) Beers.

She was a 1965 graduate of Northampton High School.

She was a bank teller for 15 years at Lafayette Ambassador Bank, Whitehall, until she retired. She then worked part time for Hallmark and Big Lots stores, both in Whitehall.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Tricia and her husband Chris Gehres of Jim Thorpe; a son, Todd of Hamburg; four grandchildren, Darren, Briana, Jonathan and Alex; a sister, Linda and her husband Guy Jr. Rice of Walnutport; three brothers, Donald and his wife Donna Beers of Northampton, Wilson “Butch” Jr. and his wife Robin Beers of Danieslville and Scott Beers of New Tripoli; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Richard Beers.
