Elsie Marcin, 95, of Whitehall, died Nov. 27, 2016, in the inpatient hospice unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of Joseph Marcin for 65 years.

Born in Stiles, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Johanna (Bauer) Brem.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Stiles.

She was a sewing machine operator at different factories.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Judith and her husband Thomas Thomasik and Karen and her husband George Boksan; two grandsons, Erik and his wife Erin Thomasik and Jonathan and his wife Laura Boksan; a brother, John Brem of Coplay; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by six sisters, Emma Liebezeit, Amelia Brem, Joan Kroboth, Rose Imp, Agnes Bauer and Helen Lazor; and a brother, Rudolph Brem.

There will be a memorial Mass 11 a.m. Dec. 2 in the church, 3024 S. Ruch St., Whitehall. A luncheon will follow.

Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Dream Come True or a charity of one’s choice.
