Claire Mae (Newcomer) Pummer

Claire Mae “Nana” (Newcomer) Pummer, 81, of Topton, formerly of Macungie, died Nov. 16, 2016, in her residence, surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of William J. Pummer Sr. They were married 61 years. Born in Slatington, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Claire Mae (Owens) Newcomer.

She was a member of Morningstar Fellowship Church.

She was a 1953 graduate of William Allen High School, Allentown.

She was employed as a server at The Brass Rail Restaurant, Allentown, for almost 20 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and feeding the birds.

She was a very family oriented woman who loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband; four children, William J. Jr. and his wife Susan G. (Duld), of Alburtis, Terry L. and his wife Julie T. (Shields), of Topton, Debra L. and her husband Dale A. Albright, of Macungie and Timothy S. and his wife Lisa V. (LaSerre), of Macungie; grandchildren, Vanessa, Krista, Nichole, Jared, Jakob, Ian and Ben; great-granddaughters, Devon, Lilliana and Cassidy; three sisters; one brother. She was predeceased by a sister and three brothers.

Arrangements were made by the Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., Topton.
