Emmanuel’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, is hosting an event called The Holiday Empty Chair 7 p.m. tonight, Nov. 17. A light soup dinner will be served 6 p.m.

The event is designed to help those grieving a lost loved one during the past year and how to prepare for the holidays.
