Zentz receives Scouting award

Robert Zentz, president and CEO of Fellowship Community, was honored Oct. 20 by Minsi Trail Council, Boy Scouts of America during its Friends of Scouting recognition dinner.

Whitehall Township Mayor Edward D. Hozza Jr. was the master of ceremonies for the event, which was held at Fellowship Community, Whitehall.

Zentz, BSN, MSA, RN, NHA, was presented with the Distinguished Citizen Award. He was recognized by area Scouts, as well as business and community leaders, for his achievements and service to the community.

Zentz said he learned of the value of Scouting in his hometown, Lackawanna, N.Y., from a challenging but caring Scout leader.

During the program, Senior Scout Justin Deutsch, of Troop 79, Whitehall, talked about his interest in Scouting and his future plans after graduating from Allentown Central Catholic High School.

Zentz has been appointed chairman of the board of directors of Sacred Heart Hospital; trustee and chairman of the board planning and project development committee of Cetronia Ambulance Corps; immediate past president of Whitehall Area Chamber of Commerce; president of Bible Fellowship Church Homes Inc.; board member of Whitehall Township Planning Commission; president, treasurer and elder of Fellowship Community Church; and a member of the board of directors and member of the medical advisory board of Care Net of Lehigh Valley.
