Robert H. Pursell Jr., 77, of Catasauqua, died Oct. 11, 2016, in Catasauqua. He was the husband of Diane J. (Braun) Pursell for 49 years.

Born in Harrisburg, he was a son of the late Robert H. Sr. and the late Virginia (Tedesco-Houser) Pursell.

He was a 1957 Catasauqua High School graduate.

He was in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was an estimator for Adam Meyer Moving and Storage for 50 years until he retired.

He was a member of Catasauqua American Legion Post 215 and of the National Rifle Association.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Edward and his wife Linda; two daughters, Traci and her husband Eric Reitz and Conni and her husband Bryan Dannecker; two sisters, Marjorie Gillespie and Sylvia Pursell; a brother, Rodney and his wife Donna Pursell; six grandchildren, Nycole, Jennifer, Robert, Alexis, Ty and Hunter; and four great-grandchildren.
