Arlene M. Flexer, 83, of Macungie, formerly of Emmaus, died Oct. 15, 2016. She was the wife of the late Paul C. Flexer. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Verna (Shimer) Kirchner.

She was a supervisor at Rodale Press, Emmaus, until retiring.

She was a member of St. John’s U.C.C., Emmaus and was active with Emmaus Seniors and Golden Rodalians.

She is survived by daughters, Donna and her husband Don Carl, of Emmaus, Gale and her husband Dana Ackerman, of Bath, Karen and her husband John Schaffer, of Macungie; son, Scott and his wife Chrissy, of Emmaus; sister, June Williams, of Whitehall; companion, Russell Snyder, with whom she resided; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, Ryan Willever and her brother, Lloyd Kirchner, Jr.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Oct. 19 in the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A calling hour will be held 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
