Betty A. Romig
Betty A. Romig, 85, of Loganville, Ga., formerly of Emmaus, died peacefully Oct. 3, 2016, in her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Dorn A. Romig, who died April 11, 2006. They were married 57 years. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of Helen (Knappenberger) Stephen and Raymond T. Stephen.
She was active in the community, a Girl Scout leader and member of the Moravian church where she served as sacristan.
She was secretary to the principal at Emmaus High School and then worked 35 years at Northeast Atlanta Metro Association of REALTORS (formerly Gwinnett County) as executive vice president.
After retirement she enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, traveling, making her famous candy plus time to read and play pinochle.
She is survived by children, Debbie and her husband Jeff Davey, of Snellville and Dean A. and his wife Wanda, of Snellville; grandchildren, Heather and her husband Bill Doherty, of New Jersey, Nicole and her husband Dr. Jamie Sisk, of Mississippi, Allison and her husband James Griffin, of Georgia, Michael and his wife Jill, of Texas, Jeffrey and his wife Stephanie, of Texas; five stepgrandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-great grandchildren.
