Robert “Bob” Henry Margolis, 65, of Macungie, died Sept. 21, 2016, surrounded by his family in Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest Hospice. He was the husband of Becky Overcash. He fought a battle with cancer for 10 years, having both non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and head and neck cancer. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Joseph Louis and Shirley (Jacob) Margolis.
He was a musician for over 50 years, working as a producer and record executive at RCA and Geffen Records with bands like Aerosmith, Guns N’ Roses, and Whitesnake. He also worked in the motor sports industry, starting as a sports journalist and continuing as a media consultant.
His passions were his children, music, motor sports and cooking.
His youngest daughter is currently enrolled at the University of Colorado at Denver, pursuing her dream of being a singer/songwriter, following in his footsteps.
He is survived by his wife; children, Brian, of Gainesville, Fla., Janelle, of Allentown, Natasha, of Macungie, Alana, of Denver, Colo.; granddaughter, Brianna, of Gainesville, Fla. and great-grandson, Legend Mathes; brother, Donald, of Orefield; two dogs, Maggie and Lola. He was predeceased by an older sister, Sandi Lynn and younger sister, Jayne.

A celebration of Life ceremony will be announced at a later date. Arrangements were made by the Robert C. Weir Funeral Home, Allentown.
