Roy “Grumpy” P. Gable, 80, of Whitehall, died Sept. 15, 2016, at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Bettyann Gable.

Born in Emmaus, he was a son of the late Kermit G. and Margaret L. (Doney) Gable.

He was in the U.S. Army reserves.

He was a mechanic for the former Roll-A-Long, Whitehall. He was a delivery man for Knoll Furniture, East Greenville, and retired as a bus driver for Carbon-Lehigh Intermediate Unit No. 21, Walnutport.

He is survived by five children, Donna and her husband Bill Kleedorfer, Leslie and his wife Valerie, Greg and his wife Tammy, Michelle and her husband Greg Horton and Roy Jr. and his wife Pam; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Larry and Kermit Gable.
