Patricia H. Reed, 73, of Whitehall, died Sept. 10, 2016. She was the wife of Gary A. Reed for 53 years.

She was a daughter of the late George and Mazie W. (Faust) Follweiler.

She was a 1961 graduate of Whitehall High School.

She was an administrative assistant for the Allentown Economic Development Corporation until she retired in 2008. She had earlier worked at GAC.

She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was co-chair of the altar guild, served on church council, ushered and assisted in the church office. She was a member of the staff support, worship planning, church renovation, centennial, memorial and kitchen committees. She participated in Bible study and quilting.

She volunteered for the IronPigs, America on Wheels and the Whitehall Food Bank.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Shannan and her husband Michael Baumann of Whitehall; two sisters, Patrice and her husband David Schenkel of Macungie and Barbara and her husband Marvin Ziegler of Kempton; two brothers, Robert and his wife Patricia Althouse of Hawaii and Randy and his wife Violet Althouse of Emmaus; her second mother, Ruth Follweiler of Emmaus; a granddaughter, Jenna DiMarco-Archer; two godchildren, Scott David and Danette Roberts; and nieces and nephews and their extended families.

There will be a viewing 9-10:45 a.m. in Fritze Hall, followed by a service 11 a.m., both Sept. 15 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 835 Third St., Whitehall, 18052. Please wear blue in her honor.
