K-Kid Roundup: Golf team playing well

The Northampton golf team knocked off Stroudsburg at Southmoore 411-416.

Andrew Hozza led the way for the Kids with a 78 as Northampton improved to 10-3 on the season.

Jack Test had an 81 and both Anthony Sawarynski and Andrew Kovalchik shot 83. Devon Britton had an 86.

The Mounties Jack Mullally was the match medalist with a low round of 75.

Stroudsburg fell to 9-4 after the loss.

The Kids defeated Notre Dame East Stroudsburg 434-999. Eastburg gets a 999 team score for not having enough golfers for the match.

Andrew Kovalchik led the way for the Kids with an 81. Andrew Hozza shot an 87, while Anthony Sawarynski had an 8. Devon Britton and Jack Test shot 89.

Eastburg’s William Mirams shot a low round of 69 and Mathew McGinley had a 75.

The Northampton tennis team was on the winning end of a 6-1 score.

Emma Angle and Mary Angle both won their singles match 6-0, 6-0 and one and two. Grace Lewis, at number three, was a 6-3, 6-3 winner.

In doubles, Caleigh Savage and Sydney Schmall won 6-0, 6-3 at number two. CeCe Lebus and Liz Hozza won 6-1, 6-0 at number three while Lauren Haggerty and Jess Grello took a 6-0, 6-0 match at number three.

The Northampton boys soccer team dropped a 2-1 game to Emmaus.

The Hornets scored one each in the first and second half thanks to goals from Kacper Grycel and Nick Cari.

The Kids goal came from Cameron Peploe.

Emmaus outshot Northampton 8-6.

The boys also fell to Central by a score of 4-1. The Vikings scored three times in the first half led by Francois D’Elia’s two goals.

The Kids goal also came in the first half thanks to Ryan Keenan, which was assisted by Maxx Venzke.

The girls soccer team also fell to Central by a score of 1-0.

Abby McMullen scored for the Vikings off an assist from Chelsea Hudson.

Parkland topped the Kids 6-0 on Tuesday.

The Trojans scored three goals in each half on their way to the victory.

Brooke Schutter and Emily Piston led the way with two goals each.

Parkland outshot NHS 17-1 in the game with eight corners.

The Kids Gabrielle Demchak made 11 saves in the loss.

The NHS volleyball team defeated Easton 25-9, 25-22 and 25-17.

Sydney Hefter had 11 aces in the win. Olivia Lucas chipped in with nine assists while Krystal Heffelfinger had 5 kills.

Northampton won against Catasauqua by scores of 25-6, 25-3 and 25-5.

Olivia Lucas had 11 assists and Kristin Nasatka added 8 aces.

Northampton lost to Freedom 25-21, 25-23, 21-25 and 25-19.
