Joseph E. DiMaggio, 52, of Slatington, died unexpectedly Sept. 1, 2016.

Born July 15, 1964, in Bloomfield, N.J., he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Anne A. (Smith) DiMaggio.

He was a mechanic at Omnilift Inc., Allentown.

A longtime resident of Sewaren, N.J., he moved to the Lehigh Valley area, where he lived for the past 25 years.

He enjoyed fishing, trapping and being outdoors.

His survivors include sons Anthony B. and Dominick T. of Coplay; and siblings Patricia, Thomas and James.

Family and friends may pay their respects 4-5:30 p.m. Sept. 8 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, followed by a time of sharing and prayer beginning at 5:30 p.m.
