The Northampton Cross Country Invitational is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 3, at Bicentennial Park in East Allen Township.
There are 35 schools attending with over 1,200 athletes. That includes 31 high school teams along with 15 middle school teams.
High schools competing include: Becahi, Building 21, Central Bucks East, Council Rock South (girls only), Day Spring Christian (boys only), Downingtown East, Easton, Exeter (boys only), Fleetwood, Frankfort, Freedom, Holy Cross, Lehighton, Little Flower (girls only), Dieruff, Mahanoy, Northampton, Oley Valley, Pennridge (boys only), Penncrest (boys only), Pocono Mountain West, Pope John Paul II, Quakertown, Reading, Schuylkill Valley, Shenandoah Valley, Upper Dublin (girls only), Upper Perkiomen, Veritas Academy, Allen and Wilson. Middle schools are: Easton, Fleetwood (boys only), Holland (girls only), Holy Cross, Lehighton, Mahanoy, Northampton, Parkland, Penncrest (boys only), Pleasant Valley, Pocono Mountain West, Reading (girls only) Shenandoah Valley, Southern Lehigh, Veritas Academy, Allen and Wilson.
There are six races: 9 a.m. - girls varsity (top 7); 9:45 a.m. - boys varsity (top 7); 10:30 a.m. - girls JV (unlimited); 11:15 a.m. - boys JV (unlimited)12 p.m. - girls middle school (unlimited); 12:30 p.m. - boys middle school (unlimited); 1 p.m. - awards.
Awards Include top-25 individuals in both boys and girls varsity; top-5 teams in both boys and girls varsity; top-7 individuals on both boys and girls JV; top-15 individuals in both boys and girls middle school; top team in both boys and girls middle school.
