Julia “Grucela” A. Gerkovich, 90, of Walnutport, died Aug. 13, 2016, at Sacred Heart Senior Living, Northampton. She was the wife of the late Stephen A. Gerkovich.

Born in Martin’s Creek, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Zofia (Polakiewicz) Grucela.

She was a sewing machine operator for many years.

She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Walnutport.

She is survived by a son, Stephen T. and his wife Sheryl of Nazareth; a daughter, Mary and her husband Andrew DeAngelo of Whitehall; four grandchildren, Michael Gerkovich, Anne and her husband Mark Scagel, Thomas DeAngelo and Danielle and her husband Michael Pompella; and a sister, Amelia Pulcini of Martin’s Creek.

She was predeceased by seven siblings.
