Aloysius “Oscar” R. Emerick, 82, of Coplay, died Aug. 6, 2016, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. He was the husband of Theresa (Nemeth) Emerick for 54 years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Stephen and Justine (Bolcar) Emerick.

He was in the U.S. Navy.

He worked at Tarkett Manufacturing for many years.

He was a member of Queenship of Mary Church, Northampton.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, James S.; two grandsons, Ryan and Matthew; two sisters, Cecilia Emerick and Emma Woodring; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Helen; and four brothers, Edward, Paul, Stephen and Charles.
