William E. Stone, 89, of Bethlehem, died Aug. 4, 2016, at Kirkland Village, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Gloria J. (McKittrick) Stone.
Born in Catasauqua, he was a son of the late Samuel Stone and the late Pearl (Rabenold) Stone.
He was a graduate of Northampton High School and of the Radio Electronic Institute of Philadelphia.
He was in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a vice president of the former Twin County Cable, Northampton, from which he retired in 1994 after 45 years with the company in various positions throughout 48 states.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 353 and the F&AM Blue Lodge 637, both of Northampton, the Lehigh Consistory, Valley of Allentown and the Rajah Temple Shrine, Reading. He was a member of the National Cable Television Pioneers and the local Cable Television Association Pioneers and Founders.
He is survived by nieces and nephews.
