Helen M. Keeney, 85, of Northampton, died Aug. 9, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. She was the wife of William J. Keeney for 60 years.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late John Marakovits and the late Mary (Stubits) Marakovits.

She was a clean room technician for the former Western Electric, Allentown, for 20 years until she retired in 1993. She was a part-time banquet waitress for the Holiday Inn West, Allentown, for 10 years.

She was a member of Queenship of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Northampton.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Joseph Sr. and his wife Ann of Easton; three daughters, Jane M. and her husband James Nemeth of Northampton, Eileen M. and her husband Gregory Wasson of Bethlehem and Mary Lisa and her husband Trevor Stone Sr. of Northampton; three brothers, John Marakovits of Northampton, Joseph Marakovits and his wife Cindy of Bethlehem and James Marakovits and wife Carol of Northampton; two sisters, Ann and her husband John Feichtel of Northampton and Theresa and her husband Gary Renner of Northampton; 14 grandchildren, Gina, Jonathan, Lauren, Brianna, Jared, Joseph Jr., Gabrielle, Marisa, Trevor Jr., Emily, Jessica, Joshua, Addison and Rachael; and two great-grandchildren, William and Jocelyn.

She was predeceased by a son, Robert Keeney; a brother, Stephen Marakovits; and a sister, Mary Schwartz.
