Konkrete Kids cross country team finds some offseason success

The Northampton cross country team competed in an offseason 5K race on Saturday, July 30, at Lehigh University as part of the Corner Store Country Run Series.

The boys and girls teams were made up of a combination of high school and middle school runners. There were 337 total runners in the race that included high school, middle school, college, as well as open to the public runners.

Some of the highlights included the girls team taking second place in the high school division.

Upcoming Northampton senior Isaac N’Jenga was the overall winner of the race in a time of 18:14.

Upcoming Northampton senior Lyndsey Gallagher was the fifth overall female and the first high school girl in 20:35.

All three Northampton Cross Country coaches also ran the race - Melissa Davis, Joelle Perelli, and Dan Benner.
