Pennsylvania Sinfonia Orchestra presents the third of its four “Valley Vivaldi” chamber music concerts, 7:30 p.m. July 31, Wesley Church, 2540 Center St., Bethlehem.
The repertoire includes spirited and reflective instrumental works by composers from the late 17th and early 18th centuries. Sinfonia Music Director is Allan Birney.
The concert opens with Antonio Vivaldi’s Concerto for Strings in C, RV 114.
Sinfonia oboists Cheryl Bishkoff and Nobuo Kitagawa and bassoonist Andrea Herr perform Jan Dismas Zelenka’s Sonata V in F.
Trumpeter Lawrence Wright and flutist Robin Kani are among featured soloists in two works by George Telemann: Concerto in D for trumpet, two oboes and strings, TWV 53:D2, and Concerto in F for Flute, Bassoon, Strings and Continuo, TWV 52:F1.
Violinist Rebecca Brown and Kani perform Bach’s Trio Sonata in C minor.
A reception with the musicians follows the concert.
