Edward A. Thomas, 77, of Coplay, died July 18, 2016, at home.

Born in Coplay, he was a son of the late John J. and Rose (Gober) Thomas Sr.

He was employed by A&B Meats, Allentown, and later retired from Beatrice Foods, Allentown.

He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Coplay.

He was a member of American Club of Coplay, Coplay Saengerbund and West Coplay Maennerchor.

He is survived by a daughter, Susan of Point Pleasant, N.J.; a son, Edward A. Jr. of Coplay; two grandchildren, Hunter Thomas and Conner Lucero; three brothers, John Jr., Alfred and Joseph, all of Coplay; four sisters, Rose and her husband Frank Kroboth of Coplay, Anna Giblin of New York City, N.Y., Sue and her husband Donald Reph of Whitehall and Theresa and her husband John Skrapits of Northampton; and his ex-wife, Kathleen (Miller) Thomas.

Contributions may be made to Lehigh Valley Hospice or St. Peter Catholic Church, both c/o the funeral home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, 18037.
