William “Bill” T. Gillespie Sr., 77, of Catasauqua and Crofton, Md., died July 17, 2016, at his home in St. Augustine, Fla. He was the husband of Marjorie (Pursell) Gillespie for 55 years.

He was a son of the late Mary (Lynch) and James Gillespie.

He was in the U.S. Navy.

He was a logistician at National Security Agency, Fort Meade, Md., for 30 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Bill Jr. and Carol Gillespie of Savannah, Ga.; a daughter, Kelly and James Jr. Pendock of Crofton, Md.; two grandsons, Brad and Allison Pendock and Andrew and Nathalya Pendock; a brother, Dan Gillespie; and a cousin, Jean Marie Lindquist.

He was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Gillespie; and a brother, James Gillespie.

A chapel service with naval honors will be 1 p.m. Aug. 1 at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery, 1112 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, Md., 21032.
