Samuel F. Kratzer Jr., 74, formerly of West Catasauqua and a Westminster Village two-year resident, died July 16, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg, Bethlehem.

He was a son of the late Samuel and Myrtle (Bartholomew) Kratzer.

He worked at Phoenix Forge Company, Catasauqua, for 32 years. He then worked at Lehigh Valley International Airport for nine years. He retired at age 72 for health reasons.

He is survived by a daughter, Donna and her husband Jeff Yarkow of Whitehall; a sister, Linda and her husband Henry Duda of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; and two grandchildren, Justin and Brooke.

He was predeceased by a brother, Richard.
