Edgar G. Benninger Jr., 95, of Whitehall, died July 9, 1026, at home. He was the husband of the late Marie “Sue” M. Benninger.

Born in Stiles, he was a son of the late Edgar G. Benninger Sr. and Martha (Fahringer) Benninger.

He was a private first class in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a machine operator for Fuller Company, Catasauqua, for 30 years until he retired in 1983.

He is survived by a daughter, Linda E. and her husband Dennis Kressley of Northampton; a son, Bruce L. and his wife Shirley Benninger, also of Northampton; a sister, Evelyn Rothdeutsch of Coplay; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Leonard.
