Dorothy P. Falat, 95, of Whitehall, died July 17, 2016, at Whitehall Manor. She was the wife of the late John Falat Jr.

Born in Alburtis, she was a daughter of the late Irwin Rader and the late Ella (Keim) Rader Beil.

She was a sewing machine operator at Clyde Shirt Company, Northampton, for many years before retiring.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Slovak Lutheran Church, Northampton.

She is survived by two daughters, JoAnne D. and her husband Robert Harder of Whitehall and Elaine H. Falat of South Whitehall Township; a brother, Russell and his wife Delores Rader of Coplay; three grandchildren, Laura and her husband Anthony Gulla, Shelene and her husband Enrico Ressler and Todd and his wife Candace Harder; four great-grandchildren, Ashley, Matthew, Caitlin and Tyler; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters.

There will be a calling hour 10-11 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service, both July 21 at the funeral home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, 18067.

Contributions may be made to an animal shelter of one’s choice.
