Daniel Robert Bajorin, 58, of Macungie, died June 24, 2016, from cancer while receiving hospice care at the home of his sister, Elizabeth and her husband, Allan Smolinski, in Auburn, Wash. Born in Worcester, Mass., he was the son of the late Stanley F. and Genevieve M. (Grigas) Bajorin of Gales Ferry, Conn.
He graduated from Ledyard High School in 1978. He participated in indoor and outdoor track 2, 3, 4 and chorus 3. He was awarded his athletic letter as a sophomore. He worked as a volunteer at the Juliet Long School during the summer while in high school and then went on to work as a volunteer at Easter Seals of Southeastern Conn. after graduation.
After his mother’s death in 2003, he resided with his sister, Patricia and her husband, Arthur D. Jones in Macungie.
Since 2003, he served as a volunteer at the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley and Northeast PA.
He was an avid model train and lighthouse enthusiast. He enjoyed building models, jigsaw puzzles, drawing and painting.
He is survived by a sister, Patricia J. and her husband Arthur Jones, of Macungie; brother, Thomas F. and his wife Sharon, of Ledyard, Conn.; sister, Elizabeth M. and her husband Allan Smolinski, of Auburn, Wash.; four nephews and three nieces. He was predeceased by a younger brother, Robert D., in 1997.

There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Route 12, Gales Ferry, Conn.
