LaVerne R. Ritter Sr., 69, of Vera Cruz, died June 26, 2016, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of the late Rachel A. (Hartman) Ritter and Ann L. (Schwartz) Ritter. Born in Vera Cruz, he was the son of the late Raymond and Katherine (Heft) Ritter.

He worked for Reinhardt Awning Company, LLC for 40 years, retiring in 2014.

He was a member of Upper Milford Field and Stream and Grundsow Lodge No. 13.

He is survived by a daughter, Lori and her husband Michael Miller, of Emmaus; stepsons, David Kim and his wife Susan, of Lansdale and Donald Kim and his wife Dahlia, of Boca Raton, Fla.; stepdaughter, Dr. Lisa Torp and her husband Dr. Joseph Esposito, of Lewisberry; brother, Keith and his wife Sherellyn, of New Tripoli; sisters, Mary Jane and her husband Wilmer Dise, of Slatington and Debra and her husband Marvin Busher, of Prosperity, S.C.; grandchildren, Morgan, Cody and Jonathan; great-grandson, Dean. He was predeceased by a son, LaVerne R. Jr., brothers, Raymond Jr., Philip and William; sister, Sylvia Zabower.
