William “Billy” Horwith, 81, of Northampton, died June 20, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Inpatient Unit, Allentown. He was the husband of Elaine N. (Day) Horwith for 59 years.
Born in Rockdale, he was a son of the late Charles and Theresa (Weber) Horwith.
He was a truck driver with Horwith Trucking Company, Northampton, for many years. Previously, he worked in the same capacity for the former Matlack Trucking Company, Northampton.
He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Northampton.
He was part of a stock car racing pit crew in his early years.
He attended the regional Grundsau Lodsch every year.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Lee Ann and her husband Donald Hortman of Walnutport and Trisha Daniels of Northampton; a son, Dan and his wife Bonnie of Walnutport; seven grandchildren, Brad, Alison, Kyle, Tyler, Tia, Tye Lynn and Jack Jr.; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rose Hock of Northampton, Mary Hock of Walnutport and Theresa Beckel of Whitehall; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
He was predeceased by four sisters; and six brothers.
