William “Bill” A. Bonstingl, 95, of Coplay, died June 22, 2016, at Saucon Valley Manor. He was the husband of the late Marie E. (Schandel) Dech Bonstingl for 36 years and of the late Mary (Kasick) Bonstingl.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Charles and the late Rose Bonstingl.

He was a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and flew many reconnaissance missions.

He was a member of the IBEW and worked as a union electrician at Bonney Forge until he retired in 1986. He had previously worked at Bethlehem Steel.

He was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall.

He is survived by two sons, Thomas and his wife Kerry and Robert; a stepson, Michael and his wife Martie Dech; a stepdaughter, Linda and her husband Ken Snyder; four grandchildren; five step grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and 12 step great-grandchildren.

There will be a viewing 9 a.m. in the church foyer, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. in the church, July 1, 2016.
