• Whitehall Township Board of Commissioners delayed vote on an adaptive reuse ordinance that promotes the reuse of vacant properties in residential zones in the entire township. The first project that could be impacted by the ordinance, if adopted, is Fullerton Lofts, if its developers resubmit plans. The headline for the story incorrectly stated that the vote was for the Fullerton Lofts project.

Also at the meeting, Michele Fabik spoke on the parking issue if the Fullerton Lofts project were to proceed.

“It’s like a grown-up game of musical chairs,” she said, adding the parking problem is unfair to both existing residents and those who would live in Pathstone’s proposed 49-unit apartments, as everyone would be deprived of the “safety and dignity of adjacent off-street parking.”

She was misquoted in the story, which appeared in the June 23 edition.

• Anna Rodriguez, of Whitehall, a Gold Star mother, and Dennis Makovsky, commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7293, Egypt, placed a wreath at the base of the new flag pole June 14 during a ceremony on the grounds of the township municipal building. Her son, Lance Corporal Nicholas Rodriguez, died in 2011. Anna was misidentified in a photo caption that appeared in the June 23 edition.
