Shirley M. Seidel, 83, of Luther Crest, died June 19, 2016, with her son by her side while watching a race on television. She was the wife of the late James W. Seidel Jr. for 59 years.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Charles K. and Laura (Frazier) Miller.

She was a 1950 graduate of Allentown High School.

She was a courier for E. Schneider and Sons Inc., Allentown, until she retired. She was earlier an administrative assistant to a dean at Muhlenberg College and a manager for Park & Shop.

She is survived by a son, Brian and his wife Jennifer of Allentown; a son-in-law, David Michael also of Allentown; and nieces, nephews and their families.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Vicki L. Michael; two sisters, Zelda Timmins and Betty Miller; and two brothers, John and Edward Miller.

A celebration of her life will be held 7 p.m. June 24 in Crest Hall at Luther Crest, 800 Hausman Road, Allentown, 18104.
